Pickleball at Alamo County Club
Alamo Country Club is home to two (2) beautiful state-of-the art Pickleball Courts incorporating this new and highly popular amenity to the community.
Construction of the courts, identified as “Karan’s Courts” was spearheaded by one of our members, David Herring, in memory of his late wife, Karan. Private funding and community donations funded all of the construction.
The courts are open at all times for play. During the summer months one of the nets along with extra paddles are usually stored in the nearby storage shed.
Scheduled play year round is Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 8:30 a.m.
In the winter months, organized play times vary. Schedules will be identified for competitive play and other times for those who prefer more casual play. In addition, reserved times will be offered for beginners who want to learn the game.
Pickleball is the most accessible racquet sport for any age and skill level. It is a great activity for seniors, many of whom were initially drawn to it because it is joint-friendly. Despite its slightly slower pace, it still provides excellent health benefits and an enjoyable way to socialize.
